Michael Clark – Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director

Michael ClarkMichael Clark is Chief Executive Officer for European Finance House.

Michael has over 30 years’ banking experience, having held senior management roles for over 20 years. From 1999 to 2006 Michael was the Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking at Arab Bank where his role focused on Business Development. Prior to this Michael held a number of senior management positions at Yamaichi Bank (U.K.) including the post of General Manager.

Michael is a member of the Asset & Liability and Risk Management Committees and chairs the Executive Committee at EFH.

Michael holds a BSc. (Hons) degree in Banking and Finance, an ACIB professional qualification, an MBA in Finance from City University London and the Islamic Finance Qualification.

David Potter – Chief Operating Officer & Executive Director

David PotterDavid Potter is Chief Operating Officer for European Finance House.

David has over 20 years’ experience in the finance and banking sector. Prior to joining EFH, he was most recently the Head of Operations at Europe Arab Bank with responsibility for developing and implementing operational strategy across all support areas of the bank. Previously, David spent many years working in a number of senior operations management positions with Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken both in London and Stockholm.

David, who holds the Islamic Finance Qualification, is a member of the Executive, Asset & Liability, IT Steering, New Product and Risk Management Committees at EFH.

Azhar Khan – Head of Finance

Azhar Khan Azhar Khan is Head of Finance for European Finance House.

Azhar has worked in the financial services industry for over 15 years. Azhar was previously with Islamic Bank of Britain as Director of Financial Operations where he was a key member of the senior management team. He has also held senior management positions at Charles Schwab Europe and Barclays Private Bank.

He is a member of the Executive, Asset & Liability, IT Steering and New Product Committees at EFH.

Azhar is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has a first-class degree in Operations Management and also holds the Islamic Finance Qualification.

Grant Lowe – Head of Risk & Compliance

Grant LoweGrant Lowe is Head of Risk & Compliance for European Finance House.

He has 24 years' banking experience. Before joining EFH, Grant worked most recently for European Islamic Investment Bank where he helped the company to become FSA approved. Grant has also held management positions at Bank of America, Citibank and South African Reserve Bank.

He is a member of the Executive Management, IT steering and ALCO Committees and chairs the Risk Management and New product Committees at EFH.

Grant is a Certified Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB), and also holds the Islamic Finance Qualification. Grant reports to the Chief Executive Officer, Michael Clark, but also reports to the Board and to the Audit Committee as appropriate.
